Superfly is a new limited edition non-alcoholic cocktail, and collaboration between celebrated mixologist Ryan Chetiyawardana, aka Mr Lyan, and naturally revitalising UK juice drink brand Firefly. The cocktail blends redcurrents, aronia berries and grapefruit with botanicals that include green coffee, angelica, wormwood, kola nut and cascara. It features a unique packaging design by London-based B&B Studio that wraps Firefly’s distinctive structural design with bespoke botanical illustration. Superfly will be rolled out in April, initially as a Selfridges exclusive and through Mr Lyan cocktail bars, followed by a wider UK release in May.

Brewdog’s Lone Wolf by B&B Studio, United Kingdom

Lone Wolf—a whisky, gin and vodka range—marks Brewdog’s entry into the craft spirits market. These are produced by Brewdog’s craft distillery in Scotland, and is said to be the only one to make base spirit from grain under one roof, modified to accommodate a 19m high 60-plate rectification column to get the purest spirit possible.

The range shares a packaging and brand identity design, created by London-based packaging specialists B&B Studio, which is described as being in defiance of category codes and conventions. These feature a stripped back label design and wolf’s head motif as an expression of product purity and the brand’s outsider stance. The spirits will be available at Brewdog bars, and as part of Brewdog’s equity scheme.

New packaging that mixes photography and illustration designed by UK based B&B Studio for The London Popcorn Co.

The London Crisp Co., a hand cooked British crisp brand available in local pubs throughout the capital, has expanded to include popcorn. Local graphic design studio and packaging specialists B&B Studio returned to the project that they help establish the visual language for. This time, introducing anthropomorphised animals inspired by what the studio describe as modern London tribes, and include yummy mummies, Hoxton hipsters, hi-vis vesters and city slickers. Popcorn and crisps share a similar collage aesthetic but popcorn features fewer images and more colour coverage across pack.
