New packaging that mixes photography and illustration designed by UK based B&B Studio for The London Popcorn Co.

The London Crisp Co., a hand cooked British crisp brand available in local pubs throughout the capital, has expanded to include popcorn. Local graphic design studio and packaging specialists B&B Studio returned to the project that they help establish the visual language for. This time, introducing anthropomorphised animals inspired by what the studio describe as modern London tribes, and include yummy mummies, Hoxton hipsters, hi-vis vesters and city slickers. Popcorn and crisps share a similar collage aesthetic but popcorn features fewer images and more colour coverage across pack.

Erik Penser Bank Cookbook by Bedow, Sweden

Opinion by Richard Baird.

Cookbook Christmas gift by Bedow for Erik Penser Bank 2016

Erik Penser Bank provides its clients with independent financial advice and a high-level of personal service. While large banks do provide similar services, Erik Penser Bank is Sweden’s only dedicated private banking business.

Professionalism, experience and an individualised service practice is expressed throughout the bank’s visual identity, created by Bedow, in the personable and less corporate association and aesthetic qualities of a new monogram. This then informs some distinctive pictograms, is paired with a custom typeface and set across uncoated papers and boards.

Bedow continue to work with Erik Penser Bank, drawing its brand identity across a Christmas gift for the bank’s clients; a cookbook that holds eighteen recipes from the resident chef. Titled Matnyttiga råd, this is a limited edition 130×210 mm hardbound book of 32 pages with a green fabric cover and a white block foil print finish.

Capt by Bunch, United Kingdom

Opinion by Richard Baird.

Brand Identity designed by Bunch for video making app and market platform Capt

Capt is a San Francisco-based start-up that connects creators wanting to monetize their videos with brands looking for new content and talent. The platform is made up of an app that allows creators to shoot, upload and license their videos, and a website that acts as a market place for buyers. This website also serves as a place to connect creatives with those who want to develop specific video content, as a tool to push assignments to qualified Capt creators by location and creator level, and provide access to and licenses for both global and hyperlocal video content.

Bunch worked with Capt on developing brand identity, mobile app and website. This takes the universal visual language of mobile recording and the lexicon of social media, and draws these into a simple but effective visual expression. This links folders, headed paper, business cards and branded hoodie, and runs across app and website.
