Branding, custom typography and lanyards for Helsinki's Flow Festival by graphic design studio Bond

Flow is an annual three day music and arts festival that this year took place across the weekend of the 14th of August in Helsinki, and played host to a variety of artists including Florence and the Machine, Major Lazer, Nina Kraviz and Willey. Finnish graphic design studio Bond worked with the festival to create a visual identity treatment for its 2015 event based around the idea of festival visitors as an urban tribe. This was visualised as new-tribal imagery, a mix of handmade illustration and custom typography, bound by what Bond describe as a quirky yet charming quality, and a colour palette of black and fluorescent inks. This builds on the concept and some of the assets created by Tsto for Flow Festivals between 2011 and 2014.

Branding for Hello Ruby by graphic design studio Kokoro & Moi

Hello Ruby is a Scandinavian company that offers an accessible and playful way for children to learn about technology, computing and coding, guided by Ruby, an illustrated character, and her animal friends. Founded in 2009, with the intention of being a small art project, and initially limited to a book, Hello Ruby has rapidly grown into a popular and comprehensive children’s computing brand, following a Kickstarter campaign in 2014.

Hello Ruby is a natural progression from the limited brick building tools of early learning and the spontaneity of drawing, to the infinite possibilities and creative freedom of the digital world. This step, and connection, proliferates Hello Ruby’s brand identity, developed by Finnish graphic design studio Kokoro & Moi, through brightly coloured blocks, hand cut paper-based type and pictograms, hand drawn illustration, and monospaced font. These unite work books and folders, business cards and website.

Poseidon designed by Kokoro & Moi

Poseidon Helsinki centralises the tasks of architect and builder with the intention of delivering higher quality construction projects based around visionary and uncompromising design solutions. Poseidon’s values are deeply rooted in a love for Helsinki, a belief in aesthetically ambitious architecture and expansive urban spaces, and improving the capacity and quality of the city through sensitive renovation and attic conversions.

Poseidon’s visual identity, inspired by the colors, grids and shapes of modernism, and the architecture and art of Le Corbusier and the masters of geometric abstraction, was developed by Finnish design studio Kokoro & Moi, and went on to include business cards, stationery, posters and website.
