MOAA Architects was founded in 2010. It has an office in Hamilton, New Zealand, and a portfolio of new builds and renovations that span the residential, education, commercial and public sectors. Highlights include their work on St. Johns Church, a square plan rotated 9 degrees off the street grid, and Piako House, a renovation and extension of 1940s domestic planning to meet a 21st century lifestyle.
MOAA Architects have a passion for ideas and people. An ethos rooted in reduction and a responsiveness to client needs. And an approach that seeks out innovation yet remains friendly and accessible. This is expressed by a flexible new graphic identity of modular play and variety, and a bright yellow and cool grey colour palette designed by Inhouse. This post was updated November 2017 to include images of Inhouse’s work on MOAA Architect’s website.

M11 studio is a luxe salon, located in the heart of the fashion, shopping and entertainment district of Newmarket, Auckland, that references the refinery of a Tom Ford fashion boutique. It has a well-proportioned, spacious, linear and light filled interior of large mirrors, strip and spot lighting, white and black walls, gold fixtures, concrete surfaces and robust furniture developed by architects Young + Richards and designer Lauren Hare.
This mix of contemporary space and luxe service is expressed through the structure, colour and materiality of the salon’s brand identity, created by graphic design studio Inhouse, in the form and construction of the logo, the finish of printed collateral, the application of window graphics and the material of exterior signage.

ECC is a high quality lighting, furniture and product supplier for both the home and commercial markets. It represents a variety of brands, some of which include Jeremy Coal, Parri and Lumina, and has showrooms throughout Australia and New Zealand.
As part of its continued commitment to these brands, ECC attends Salone Internazionale del Mobile di Milano, an annual event that showcases the latest products and technologies from the industry. The ECC Milan Report is a distillation of this event and features the latest releases from design leaders such as Flos, Moooi, Minotti and Tom Dixon, alongside editorials and interviews. Auckland based graphic design studio Inhouse, who won Bronze at New Zealand’s Best Awards for their ECC 2014 Milan Report, worked with ECC again to create cover, spreads and layouts for their 2015 edition.
