Logotype for Lima-based architecture and design firm Arde by IS Creative Studio, Peru

Arquitectura Diseño y Espacio, abbreviated to Arde, is a Peruvian architecture and design firm creating contemporary structures that have a strong sense of light and space, a preference for the geometric and often juxtapose exposed architectural surfaces with those that are natural and crafted.

Lima-based IS Creative Studio recently worked with Arde on naming and visual identity that would link a variety of assets. These included stationery, business cards, signage and a new website.

Building out from, and as an expression of name, which in Spanish means to burn like a flame (functioning as a metaphor for constant transformation and the growth of the firm), IS Creative Studio created a visual identity that expresses a sense of space, energy and architectural structure through plenty of white, a distinctive neon colour palette and geometric logotype and custom typography.

Brand identity and business cards for commercial and residential property developer Learig designed by The District, United Kingdom

Learig is a UK-based commercial and residential property developer managing projects end to end, from planning to design to build, and the financial considerations that link each of these stages. This end to end management, and Learig’s three tiers of expertise, is visually articulated by its new brand identity, designed by The District, through a logo of three stacked blogs which extend out to guide people through property, linking information and punctuating neutral white walls with a distinctive neon green. The project also included stationery, business cards, brand guidelines, interior signage and brochure design linked by bold colour and consistent type.

Frameline by Mucho, United States

Brand identity and stationery by Mucho for San Francisco based LGBT film festival and nonprofit arts organisation Frameline.

Frameline is a San Francisco-based nonprofit arts organisation and LGBT film festival that intends to change the world through the power of gay cinema, and to connect filmmakers with audiences locally and internationally. Graphic design studio Mucho worked with Frameline on its brand identity and campaign for its 40th LGBT film festival, delivering a system based around a framing device, a bright and diverse colour palette and contemporary sans-serif typography. This links membership cards, stationery and business cards, as well as campaign material such as invitations and posters.

Eero Aarnio by Bond, Finland

Eero Aarnio Originals logo designed by Bond, Finland

Eero Aarnio is a Finnish designer and one of the great innovators of modern furniture design. He is perhaps best know for his Ball, Bubble and Puppy toy, and his pioneering use of plastics and fibreglass during the 60’s. 2016 saw the release of a book that celebrates much of Eero Aarnio’s work, selected from a portfolio that spans several decades, and also includes insight into his life. Scandinavian graphic design studio Bond were responsible for design, and delivered a bright, playful, typographical expression that shares a lot in common with the life and work of Eero Aarnio. Bond followed this up later in 2016 with a new logo for Eero Aarnio Originals, the manufacturer of Aarnio’s original designs.
