Living Earth is a New Zealand-based brand of organic compost created by collecting, recycling and ‘brewing’ green waste likely to have ended up in landfill sites. Digital design agency Fracture, working in collaboration with packaging specialist Ryan Marx, recently redeveloped the brand’s range of compost bags and bottles replacing a plain single and two colour economical design with a bright and playful resolution of vivid spot colours, simple plant illustrations, an expressive character style and a subtle sense of narrative.
Lesley’s Gourmet is a US based confectioner founded by caterer and event planner Lesley Clapham that makes french-styled artisan chocolates, fruit bars and chutney from natural, organic ingredients. YUI Studio was commissioned to develop the packaging for Lesley’s Fine Artisan Chocolates range, delivering a clear plastic substrate and uncoated paper combination alongside a silver print finish to create subtle contrast throughout.
DD MM YY is an organic tequila product from the Jalisco region of Mexico. Each production of DD MM YY is visually represented by a historically significant date, these include the moon landing in ’69, the end of WWII in ’45 and the signing of the Koyoto agreement in 2005. The branding and packaging, developed by design agency Yujo, emphasise theses global events with a striking typographic solution and a tactile stamp aesthetic.
