Packaging created by Stockholm Design Lab for Víspera Coffee, a range of 100% Arabica beans sourced from the high altitude plantations of Columbia.

Víspera is premium coffee brand that intends to bring together the best of two worlds, a blend of 100% Arabica coffee beans sourced from the high altitude plantations of Colombia and a Swedish eye for quality and craftsmanship in its roasting. This meeting is visually articulated through type contrast, colour and pattern across Víspera’s packaging, developed by Stockholm Design Lab.

Brewdog Abstrakt by O Street, United Kingdom

Branding and packaging designed by O Street for limited edition craft beer concept Abstrakt from Brewdog

Brewdog’s Abstrakt is a limited edition craft beer concept that has released 20 different varieties since it began in 2010. Each beer is bottle-conditioned (bottled with a small amount of yeast, providing further fermentation and maturation), brewed and released just once, individually numbered and known only by their release code. It is a concept described as more art than beer, as boundary pushing and blurring the line between categories.

Graphic design studio O Street worked with Brewdog to create a new brand identity and packaging system for Abstrakt, informed by its creative, limited edition concept, flavour varieties, individually crafted nature and the use of release codes rather than names. This is expresses through colour, typography, print finish and structural design.

DOIY by Folch, Spain

Logo, art direction, print and packaging by Barcelona-based Folch for product design company DOIY

DOIY is product design company creating playful objects that move between the useful and the more whimsical. These include items such as icepop socks, bicycle pizza slicer and unicorn scent. Much of this is firmly tongue-in-cheek but good quality, retailing in high-end and design-focused stores as well as larger chains.

With the introduction of materials such as ceramics, woods, metal and porcelain across its new ranges, and a desire to reach a wider market whilst retaining its current customers DOIY worked with Barcelona-based studio Folch to mature its brand identity. This included packaging and print communication that share a new and distinctive approach to photography; a collaboration between Folch, paper and set designer Raya Sader Bujana and photographer Leo García Mendez.
