Brand identity and business cards for Stockholm restaurant Österlånggatan 17 by Lobby Design

Bockholmengruppen is a Stockholm based restaurant group and owners of both Nytorget 6 and Nybrogatan 38. The group recently expanded, taking over Le Bar and opening Österlånggatan 17 in its place, a modern local restaurant with a menu of home cooked dishes with a twist, located at the centre of Stockholm and attracting locals and tourists alike.

Scandinavian design studio Lobby Design worked with the Bockholmengruppen to create a visual identity that would compliment Österlånggatan 17’s modern interpretation of a traditional local restaurant, express its easy-going and unpretentious atmosphere and convey a sense of good quality. This was achieved through a series of bright and whimsical illustrations and a contrast of type, set across a variety of assets. These included menus, coffee cups, coasters, takeaway packaging, business cards and website.

The Hope Singers by Bedow, Sweden

Limited edition illustrated record sleeve for The Hope Singers by Bedow

Scandinavian graphic design studio Bedow have recently completed work on the record sleeves for The Hope Singers debut album It’s Time For…, which will be released on the Sing a Song Fighter label as a limited edition LP. Bedow mix a well-illustrated approach with loose hand drawn typography, and applied these using a four colour screen print process across uncoated and unbleached board. The result is cheerful, individual and distinctly crafted.

A-TO-B by Stockholm Design Lab, Sweden

Brand Identity, print and signage for Scandinavian retailer and bag specialist A-TO-B by Stockholm Design Lab

A-TO-B is a retail destination dedicated to all things travel. It curates and sells smart practical products for the modern traveller, complimented by insight and advice. Whether it be an around the world trip or the daily commute, a preference for small private labels or well-known bag brands, A-TO-B has it covered.

Venue Retail Group—owners of A-TO-B and over 150 shoe, bag and accessory stores throughout Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden—approached Stockholm Design Lab to work on naming, strategy and graphic identity, and to develop a new and refreshing retail experience.

Although this project went out towards the end of last year, Stockholm Design Lab have kindly been in touch with new images. These document the extent of the project, include shots of product cards, packaging, tote bags, posters and swing tags, and take a better look at the adaptable system that links these.
