Packaging: Dripp Boxed Water

Independent graphic designer and illustrator Salih Kucukaga, was recently commissioned by Southern California based coffee bar brand Dripp to develop a custom adhesive label treatment that would wrap the Boxed Water carton and create a co-branded product experience. Along with photographs of this latest project Sahil has very kindly provided the answers to few questions about his background, inspirations and aspirations.

The cafe’s identity, designed by multidisciplinary creative studio Luke Brown, is an interesting monochromatic mix of bold but breezy sans serif typography, vintage photography and stamp-based print treatment.

Matchstick’s branding and packaging, designed by Stockholm based independent designer Cameron McKague, working under his agency Vitae and in collaboration with Dirk Wright, was created to evoke the warmth and charm of its founders through a playful illustrative style and monogram.
Packaging: illy Limited Edition Tin

As part of the continuing art collection series (two each year), illy comissioned Cameroon based artist and graphic designer Alioum Moussa to create the artwork for their limited edition coffee tins. The piece, titled ‘All Create Together’, was “inspired by his [Alioum Moussa's] experience at Cittadellarte – Pistoletto Foundation in Biella.”

Designed by Moscow based studio Art Lebedev, the brand’s new identity and packaging utilise a brightly coloured stained glass visual aesthetic to symbolise the Renaissance and the elevated position of coffee in Italian culture.
Branding and Packaging: Black Goat

The packaging, created by Turkish independent designer Salih Kucukaga, draws its inspiration from Kaldi, an Ethiopian myth ascribing the origin of coffee to a goat herder and Islamic holy man, and blends the geometric patterns of Arabesque, a simple but stylised goat motif and hand-crafted logo-type.
