Filmfaktisk is a Norwegian team of film producers – with a strong focus on locations – that produces both commercial and fictional pieces work. Their visual identity, created by Oslo-based design agency Heydays, cleverly appropriates the physical realities and limitations of sign making and turns it into a positive and distinctive asset that visualises – through a simple line detail that connects the stems and the tittles of the i’s and a stylised single colour finish to the texture and detail of on-site, sign photography – a practical but creative approach to on-location shooting. It is a very simple treatment but one that brings a proprietary quality to a familiar sans-serif typeface that cohesively binds print, film and digital touch-points.
Onsagers is an Oslo based consultancy that specialises in the protection of intellectual property through patents, trademarks, design and law. Since its establishment in 1945 Onsagers has grown, aided by merger with Defensor in 1997, to become one of Norway’s leading IPR firms. Its new identity, developed by brand and packaging design agency Uniform earlier this year, is a simple but bold combination of a mono-line weight logo-type, icons and a striking, authoritative, white, black and bright yellow colour palette.
Commando Group is an Oslo based, multi-disciplined, visual communications agency. Towards the end of last year the group embarked on a rebranding exercise replacing their previous running horse logo-mark and script logo-type with a simple, geometric head, utilising chess as an analogy to deliver a clearer, less superflous and more authoritative brand message.
Aker Brygge is a waterside district at the heart of Oslo currently under redevelopment. As part of this, design agency Bleed worked alongside and collaboratively with property developers, architects, landscape architects and exterior lighting designers to bring together and brand this new vision due to be completed in 2015.
