Rich Brilliant Willing is an award winning Manhattan based contemporary furniture and lighting design studio established in 2009 by Rhode Island School of Design graduates Theo Richardson, Charles Brill and Alexander Williams. The studio’s new identity, created by New York studio Project Projects, is an interesting mix of two dimensional monogram and three dimensional axis, a smart reference to the bespoke and structural nature of the products and the combined design experience of its three founding partners.
The Helsinki Arts Initiative is a recently established organisation that consults on and produces collaborative, cultural, art based projects throughout Europe and Asia. The initiative’s identity, created by Johanna Lundberg and Elin Svensson of independent design agency Åh, visualises a diverse remit and global reach with a logo-type built from wide characters and broad tracking.
This week sees the launch of Barcelona-based brand and graphic design agency Lo Siento’s new visual identity. Created out-of-house by international studio Mucho, the solution blends a modern serif logo-type with a reductionist approach to letter-forms through reification and an industrial, hand-stenciled treatment across the business cards to visualise an unusual industrial and artisan design philosophy.
