Package design and branding for Bibelot designed by A Friend Of Mine

Bibelot is a luxury European-inspired dessert boutique in Melbourne with a coffee bar, chocolate shop, high tea salon, gelaterie and artisinal patisserie. It features an interior of long marble counters, a light spotted stone floor, spot lighting, cornicing, black and white walls, as well as bronze and tiled detailing.

Informed by the sense of place and the permanence that underpins Bibelot’s concept, reflected in its classic interior flourishes, graphic design studio A Friend Of Mine developed a brand identity that links interior, signage and packaging, makes a connection with craft, through traditional monochromatic mosaics and a geometric sans-serif logotype, and draws out, using bright spot colour panels, the colourful detail, distinctive flavour and variety of its confectionery.

Nourcy is a delicatessen that has been creating fresh, home-made and original products for thirty years from its location in Quebec City. While providing a contemporary dining environment Nourcy also offers catering services and lunch boxes to customers who have come to expect restaurant-quality at work and at home. In conjunction with a new menu of pastries, an expanded chocolate selection, exclusive gourmet delicacies and the development of a second location in the area of Lebourgneuf, Canadian graphic design studio lg2boutique developed a new brand identity and interior design treatment that places ingredients and products at the forefront.

Hay-Market designed by Foreign Policy

Print, stationery and identity for Hong Kong restaurant Hay-Market designed by Foreign Policy

Hay Market is a restaurant set in the grounds of the Hong Kong Jockey Club with a distinctive interior of wood, leather, copper and exposed brick. The restaurant’s brand identity, designed by Singapore based Foreign Policy is inspired by British eccentricity, vibrant jockey silks and centuries of tradition and reflect the Jockey Club’s pedigree as a British Colonial entity. This is visualised as an eclectic juxtaposition of geometric shapes, bold colour contrast and material textures, vintage British typography and authentic Victorian illustrations. Foreign Policy explain that Hay-Market’s logo is a playful update on classic letterforms and also functions as a blank canvas, allowing for quirky permutations when combined with different illustrations. The project scope included uniforms, menu, interior design, animated logo, signage and wayfinding.
