Branding and architects pack for North Cornwall property development Wenford Dries by London based graphic design studio ico.

Wenford Dries is a new property development in the scenic area of North Cornwall. It will be made up of loft-style homes, artist studios, allotments and wild gardens, set on the site, and within the structure of, a former clay drying factory that dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. This is said to have been sensitively restored. The development is billed as an urban-style regeneration and retreat in an area of significant natural beauty.

London based design studio ico Design created a brand identity for the development that would communicate the vision of the project and evoke a sense of place to investors and off-plan buyers. This dual market was addressed through two key assets, an architects pack and a lifestyle magazine bound by a diverse but cohesive visual language of type, clay grey boards, colourful photography and emotive language.

Brand identity and letterpress stationery for Pia Ulin Photography by The Studio, Sweden

Pia Ulin is a Swedish photographer, working between New York and Stockholm, who has built a considerable reputation from her daylight-only approach. This is said to infuse her images, which cover interior, lifestyle and still life, with a warm and natural quality.

As well as producing editorial photography for publications such as Dwell, Martha Stewart and Elle Decoration, Pia has also contributed images to the books Monochrome Home, Colourful with Lotta Agaton and Kinfolk Home, and has worked for high profile brands such as H&M Home, Ikea, Williams Sonoma and Anthropologie.

Following a recent move to New York, Pia worked with Scandinavian graphic design company The Studio to develop a new brand identity and website that would compliment and reflect her aesthetic, and function as a clean backdrop for presenting work. This went on to also include letterpress business cards, stationery set, portfolio postcards and box.

Package design and branding for Bibelot designed by A Friend Of Mine

Bibelot is a luxury European-inspired dessert boutique in Melbourne with a coffee bar, chocolate shop, high tea salon, gelaterie and artisinal patisserie. It features an interior of long marble counters, a light spotted stone floor, spot lighting, cornicing, black and white walls, as well as bronze and tiled detailing.

Informed by the sense of place and the permanence that underpins Bibelot’s concept, reflected in its classic interior flourishes, graphic design studio A Friend Of Mine developed a brand identity that links interior, signage and packaging, makes a connection with craft, through traditional monochromatic mosaics and a geometric sans-serif logotype, and draws out, using bright spot colour panels, the colourful detail, distinctive flavour and variety of its confectionery.
