PizzaLuxe is a restaurant located on London’s Brick Lane that hand makes good-value, freshly baked pizzas using locally sourced, ‘deluxe’ ingredients. To coincide with an expansion into the Westfield centre, Stratford, the brand approached Edinburgh-based design studio Touch to develop a new visual identity that would communicate their core values within a more ‘polished’ environment.

“The Vine is a wine agency in Ontario, with an exclusive and focused portfolio of wines from Italy and California, and an impressive reputation for service and professionalism.” Design agency Blok conducted an “in-depth mining of the brand revealed four key values: distinctiveness, character, authenticity and artisanal” which became the “pillars of the identity”. “The visual vocabulary strikes an elegant balance between the company’s values, the heritage of the wineries that it represents, and the highly contemporary vision of its founders.”  – Blok

Talous is a ’boutique’ financial consulting and investment banking firm founded in 2011 and based in San Pedro Garza García, México. Talous’s new visual identity, developed by multidisciplinary design studio Anagrama with a brief to communicate trust and sophistication – contrasts the heavy weight, serifs and flourishes of a logo-type solution that appropriates the trust I associate with traditional, long-running, European broadsheet newspapers against the fine detail of guilloché pattern work. A distinctive and recognisable reference that conveys finance and security under a unique and difficult to reproduce concept. Its shine and bright iridescent colour is suitably enhanced by the contemporary use of ample white space across the collaterals, confidently choosing to distill brand values into just two key assets and a print finish.
