Business cards for British furniture and product design business Simon Pengelly by Spin

Pengelly Design is a British furniture and product design studio, founded by Simon Pengelly in 1993, that embraces a material and process led approach to problem-solving, and an aesthetic that has a lightness, simplicity and timelessness. Since its foundation, the studio has gone on to secure and complete a variety of national and international furniture, transport and product design projects in collaboration with businesses and manufacturers such as Lapalma, Habitat and Modus, Virgin Atlantic and Joseph Joseph.

The project included stationery, box tape, business cards and website design.

Inspired by Finnish designer and architect Alvar Aalto, Bond’s system leverages a modular aesthetic to link bold and reductive forms with detailed typographical arrangements in a way that blurs the line between creative play and a sense of industry.

Visual identity and black block foil tags by Commission for Croft Knitwear

Croft is a contemporary men’s knitwear brand that specialises in high quality cashmere and soft wool garments. These are available exclusively through online retailer Superdemin. Each garment is hand knitted on Scotland’s Shetland Islands by crofters, a name given to those using traditional batch production processes within small communities unique to the Highlands. Alongside a new logo, London-based design studio Commission worked with photographer Luke Evans to create a range of campaign imagery that would avoid heritage pastiche, and instead, favour a contemporary simplicity.
