Mitsuori Architects is an architectural design studio that creates high quality structures and spaces that merge aesthetic beauty with careful planning and thoughtful detailing. Mitsuori’s visual identity, designed by Melbourne based Hunt & Co. and informed by a name that translates from Japanese as three-fold, does not speak of individuality or differentiation, but of neutrality and common architectural principles and considerations such as light and shade, structure, materials, processes and form within three-dimensional space. These are effectively delivered through few but well designed assets that include type and material choice, fold and finish across the studio’s stationery, website and signage.

Bedroc is a Tennessee-based consultancy firm that takes complex business issues and simplifies them with technology to reduce risk, optimise efficiency and creating revenue for its clients (ROC). The firm’s visual identity, created by multidisciplinary design agency Perky Bros, avoids the conventions of the industry and instead favours a direction that draws an analogy between bedrock and technology—the physical stability, sub-surface and base nature of bedrock and the in-depth and founding technological principles and practices of the business—through a logotype and collateral combination that has a layered and earthy quality.
City Gallery is a non-collecting exhibition-based public gallery established in 1980, located on Wellington’s Civic Square and dedicated to contemporary visual arts, architecture and design. The gallery’s visual identity, created by Designworks, draws together the multifarious nature of its content through a simple bold logo-type and single image combination that replaces a previously eclectic and inconsistent solution with one easy to manage.
