Balclis is a leading Spanish auction house, founded in 1979, with a varied catalogue of antiquities including jewellery, fine art, books and furniture. Quick to recognise the changing nature of the market and the way that people engage with the auction process, Balclis moved from local business to secure international recognition. With this in mind, and to keep up with industry changes, the auction house engaged graphic design studio Mucho to redesign their visual identity and simplify experience. This included custom logotype, signage, editorial, business card and brochure, but also a revised and refined buying and selling process that is now more visual and understandable.

Belle Epoque is a French patisserie, located on Islington’s Upper Street, crafting cakes, chocolates, breads, viennoseries, tarts and quiches from high-quality ingredients in a kitchen designed to complement the unrivalled expertise of their chef.
Originally commissioned to develop Belle Epoque’s website, Mind Design managed to expand the scope of the project into a full brand identity exercise that went on to include still life photography, stationery, business cards, packaging, menu design and website. Inspired by the drawings of English Art Nouveau artist Aubrey Beardsley, Belle Epoque’s new brand identity is built around a bold swirling black and white motif, the flourishes of a gold ink and block foil print finish, and images that draw out the colour, artistry and detail of the pastry work through colour and form contrast.

Adisgladis is a Swedish clothing, accessories, outdoor gear and gadget retailer with premises on Stockholm’s Wollmar Yxkullsgatan street. It has a distinctive interior of copper pipe racks, die cut card hangers, wood fibre and chipboard surfaces, and a philosophy that embraces organic, up-cycled and positive living. Adisgladis’ new visual identity, developed by Stockholm based graphic design studio Bedow, draws on the retailer’s interior, its positive and sustainable ideologies and an element of utility and technology, visualising these using a mix of illustration, pictograms, type, colour and material choice across bags, packaging, signage, stationery, business cards and storefront display.
