Mitsuori Architects is an architectural design studio that creates high quality structures and spaces that merge aesthetic beauty with careful planning and thoughtful detailing. Their large scale project experience is combined with the flexibility of a smaller practice allowing them to provide big clients with a personalised service.

Mitsuori’s visual identity, designed by Melbourne based Hunt & Co. and informed by a name that translates from Japanese as three-fold, does not speak of individuality or differentiation, but of neutrality and common architectural principles and considerations such as light and shade, structure, materials, processes and form within three-dimensional space. These are effectively delivered through few but well designed assets that include type and material choice, fold and finish across the studio’s stationery, website and signage.

Aspira Urval designed by BVD

Logotype and coloured board business cards designed by BVD for banking, finance and insurance recruitment specialist Aspira Urval

Aspira Urval is a banking, finance and insurance recruitment specialist with offices in the Swedish city of Stockholm. Its new brand identity, designed by BVD, draws its inspiration from the name and the themes of ‘elevated ambitions’ and ‘reaching new heights’. These are visualised as a generously spaced, uppercase, sans-serif logotype with an adaptive ascender that changes depending on its context. It is a simple abstract nod to growth that draws a proprietary quality from a fairly neutral set of characters and extends across print and digital experience. A single font choice, a variety of good quality, dyed and uncoated boards, a black block foil and blind deboss print finish, each chosen to reflect care and quality of service, introduce a tactile, visual and communicative breadth to the logotype and balance a corporate familiarity and consistency with a sense of individuality.
