New Orbit develops satellite technology that operate in ultra-low Earth orbit and seeks to unlock transformative opportunities for industries on Earth. To achieve this, New Orbit needed more than a technical story, and a brand that could inspire belief in an emerging frontier. The visual identity draws from the same core principle that powers New Orbit’s technology: ion propulsion. The logo references the movement of charged particles that propel satellites through orbit. The effect is stellar-like, with movement expressed through circle sizes and a left to right directional pull. The tail of a comment, or the ariels of early satellites also feel inherent, whilst remaining simple and scaleable.
