Wickside is a new canal side neighbourhood in the heart of London’s Hackney Wick. The development will include residential spaces, studios, shops and workspaces that’ll sit alongside leafy gardens, waterside walks and tucked-away courtyards. It’s described as being a place where everyday life and creative energy come together, it’s also part of the continued gentrification of East London and the extraction of historic value from an area that was once made up of artists living together in warehouses. It looks a lot less like this now. Anyway…the logo, designed by Society Studio. Brush stroke energy, the spontaienty of grafitti and a ‘W’. Nice. And conveys exactly the vibe intended.
