Graphic identity by Base Design for elevator specialist Mitsulift

As the built environment expands, as it seeks new places to fill and accommodate a growing populace, time spent in and our reliance on modern conveyance systems develop in tandem. Reliability is central to this experience. Mitsulift is an elevator specialist tackling this need, balancing what is described as a Japanese technical expertise with exceptional Middle-Eastern service. Its graphic identity, however, failed to communicate this. Base Design worked with Mitsulift to bring this up to date, to better reflect the ambitions of the company, its insight and support, to move it from a product-vendor to a service-driven company. Base built an identity that maintains something of a utility yet manages to establish a distinct visual and verbal expression of connections. This links a variety of printed and digital assets. These included brochures, stationery, business cards and supergraphics, as well as website and mobile app.

Visual identity and poster design by Canadian studio Blok for The Center for the Study of Political Graphics

The Center for the Study of Political Graphics (CSPG) explores the enduring power and immediacy of the political poster in the fight against inequality, their capacity to acknowledge and bring to light the injustices and atrocities of the world, and through their archival, keep alive the stories, voices and controversies that they have come to represent.

CSPG worked with Canadian studio Blok to develop a graphic identity that would honour the role the centre serves as a chronicler and catalyst, reflect its position as a participant in the fight for human rights, leave space to frame and connect the graphic and bring to light the diversity of their political poster archive.

Strömma Arkipelag by 25ah, Sweden

Visual identity by 25ah for residential property development Strömma Arkipelag

Strömma Arkipelag is a new residential property project from Swedish developer Innovation Properties, and located in between the inner city and outer archipelago of Stockholm. Strömma Arkipelag offers a unique intersection of modern living spaces and an unspoilt rural environment, with the two interlinked by large windows and a material commonality. This relationship is also expressed by the development’s graphic identity, designed by 25ah, through colour, print finish, illustration, photography and a bold typographical gesture.
