Taking inspiration from the work of artist Edward Hopper, and the style of the American diners of the 1920s and 1930s, Mexican design studio Anagrama developed an interior and visual identity design for Orson, a restaurant in the city of San Pedro pairing burgers with a wide selection of wines and milkshakes. The project, alongside a distinctive interior design of material detail, contrasting colour and form, also included menus, packaging, business cards, and beer mats.

The Dayrooms is a multi-label womenswear store, located in the London district of Notting Hill, created by Aytan Mehdiyeva and Zumrud Mammadova. The store gives a UK platform to emerging Australian designers and is an expression of Aytan and Zumrud’s shared passion for fashion and travel, and Aytan’s love of photography, textiles and Australian craftsmanship. This is reflected throughout The Dayroom’s brand identity, developed by Two Times Elliott, not only in the simple but carefully crafted intersection of reductive graphic expression and material detail, but in the concept of curated moments, expressed through language, image and objects.

Yumn is a casual luxury restaurant located within Croydon’s Boxpark, a pop-up mall for independent and global fashion and lifestyle stores, cafes and restaurants, housed within converted shipping containers. Yumn is a smaller and more intimate version of Yumn Brasserie with a similar approach to interior in its mix of blue pinned leather upholstered seating and high quality finishes, but shares something of Boxpark’s utilitarian build in its unpolished concrete walls, some of its fixtures and fittings and the industrial qualities of its brand identity, created by Brighton-based graphic design studio Filthymedia. This included menus and business cards, window graphics and signage.
