The Hesit

Young Jerks

2026, USA, Design

The Heist is an animation and live action studio helmed by people fully into the craft. At a critical time for all things design and motion, that dedication is invaluable and a delineating factor in the face of AI. Just as we’re seeing a resurgence of ‘made marks’ and ‘intentional rudimentary’ (think Jolene and the likes) Young Jerks crafted an identity and monogram that places that slap bang at the forefront of its visual communications. Here, evoking merchant marks. The flared serifed monogram could have been pulled straight from medieval carved wood or stone. The key, a common motif in merchant marks, ties in well with the notion of heists, unlocking, and helping brands coming to Heist to break out of their ‘usual patterns’.
