REVOLT is described as an instruction manual, tool-kit and practical guide for any business seeking to do more with their brand, or for individuals looking to get more out of life. The central premise is that having people on your side, and that the ability to form and activate a group is the secret to success, and essentially leverages and intends to help channel any feeling of disenfranchisement and anger into affirmative action and movements of change. Content feels very much of its time, although the visual and form language of action and disruption, revolution and dissent employed by Paul Belford Ltd. is an enduring and fairly universal one. Conflating political and societal struggles with corporate (or charitable) interest or self-help is bold and provocative, as is its visual expression.

UNSW Built Environment (BE) intends to develop global leaders in architecture, planning and construction, and help shape resilient, connected, smart and inclusive future cities through its undergraduate, postgraduate and postgraduate research courses. As part of this, the faculty also runs an annual programme of events for students, academics, industry professionals and the general public. These serve as a platform to find out more about the faculty and raise the awareness of and seek to address critical issues that concern the built environment.
Australian design studio Toko worked with UNSW BE to develop a faculty graphic identity and the spacial design of their Luminocity exhibition; a collection of student projects drawn from all seven degree courses and bring to light what it might be like to design and build tomorrow’s cities. Assets included graduate and postgraduate guides, posters and website, signage, banners, display system and layout.

ShopAround is described as a creative supermarket, however, in more conventional terms, began as an artist representation agency in 1998. It has grown, since then, to become a creative production agency specialising in contemporary illustration, graphic design, animation, motion graphics and interactive design. ShopAround co-ordinates a network of over 80 international freelance designers, and fosters new creative talent from its offices in New York, Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
ShopAround worked with Sydney-based Design by Toko on a new visual identity. This appropriates the visual vernacular associated with independent supermarkets and small gift shops. Multi-colour and shape are the basis of identity, with a referential quality that is playful and distinctive in its new context and proportionality. This links business cards, stickers and tote bags, with an updated website soon to follow.
