Spora is a biotech company and the first ‘end-to-end mycelium-based material innovator’. Basically, a manufacturer of an extensive range of mushroom-based fabrics. The Spora logo draws on the name, the notion of spors, and infuses this with the compelling notion of underlying maths embedded in nature, taking inspiration from the concentric spiral in Fibonacci’s sacred geometry. It features rings of dots, each representing spora that disperses, symbolising movement and growth. The asymmetry, spiral motion and scaling of dots each build to something distinctive and s meaning intuitively felt. Three versions have been created for different sized applications, sustaining recognition even when the availability of space is limited. The smallest version is shown here.
