BP&O Collections — Books & Magazines
30 August,2017Selected by Richard Baird.
A continually updated gallery of book and magazine design, reviewed and published on BP&O. This post features work by Blok, Toko and Bedow, and covers both fiction and non-fiction. Projects include approaches that, through space and structure, pace the reader, augment content with material concepts and play with flow through different paper sizes, colour and gradation. These move between the striking, memorable and singular in concept, to the visually rich, the idiosyncratic and nuanced, and the literal and abstract. This post features both simple cover ideas to fully realised experiences that include packaging, and those that were designed as individual publications as well as those that are part of a new brand identity system. Be sure to click the images to read more about the project and the intentions of each design, or check out brand books and digital guidelines here, and brochures, lookbooks and catalogues here.
